Alana Dawson is an Engineering Intern at Pacific Water, she has been with the company since September 2016. She assists in the store, constructed the Pacific Water website, and is assisting the owner with developing Pacific Water International.
She is a senior Civil Engineering student at the University of Mount Union. While at Mount Union she organized the Society of Women Engineers Collegiate Chapter on campus. She also worked as a Green Raider where she promoted sustainable practices and awareness to the college community.
She has traveled abroad to Guatemala and Belize with Dr. Helen Muga as part of her college experience. In Guatemala she assisted a local school by installing a solar powered school bell and a local family by building a house out of bamboo. In Belize she implemented a biodigester system, she designed, to assist a vocational school with converting farm waste into usable methane gas.
During her summers she has worked for Terracon Consultants. With Terracon she had the opportunity to work on two flyash landfill extensions where she strengthened her geotechnical engineering skills.
