Gretchen Dietz is a senior undergraduate Civil Engineering student at the University of Mount Union. She currently is employed at the Ohio Department of Engineering. Along with this, she was chosen as a Teacher’s Assistant for Geotechnical Engineering and Mechanics of Materials courses, she works as part of the team of Mount Union’s Green Raiders Eco-Rep program, and works part time for Pacific Water. On campus, she was elected as the Engineering Club President in which she mentors and leads her peers and underclassmen.
Gretchen has had numerous opportunities present themselves over her undergraduate career. Some of these include implementing engineering projects in Guatemala and Panama, and representing the University of Mount Union at the AASHE Conference for two consecutive years. With her hands on engineering travel experiences, her passion for helping others through engineering was heightened. Upon graduation, Gretchen hopes to continue her education in order to teach in Academia.
